Principal's Message
A Warm Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year!
Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,
Welcome back to the 2024-2025 school year! Our administrative team and staff are excited to partner with you on this year’s educational journey.
PASCO HIGH PRIDE
Since 1909, Pasco High has been a cornerstone of education in the Pasco community, where tradition and progress meet. We honor our past and eagerly look forward to the future, where we will continue to nurture and celebrate the potential within each student. Our mission statement, “All Belong, All Learn, All In!” guides everything we do. The Pasco High staff is deeply committed to creating an inclusive environment where every student feels a sense of belonging, and academic excellence is our priority.
Our vision for the future is clear: “All PHS graduates will be employable, financially literate, exceptional communicators, problem solvers, and critical thinkers equipped with the skills to thrive in a diverse, ever-changing global community.” This vision shapes our goals and drives our efforts to ensure that every Pasco High graduate is college and career ready. Supported by our AVID Schoolwide framework, we ensure that your student develops critical thinking, collaboration, reading, and writing skills. We are eager to continue supporting our Pasco High Pride with our mission and vision statements!
LEARNING, SAFETY, AND NEW PERSONAL ELECTRONIC DEVICE POLICY
This is our second year implementing the MINGA Digital ID to enhance safety by requiring all students to present their Digital ID to enter our campus. It is also our second year of the Earned Open Campus Lunch Program, where students can earn the privilege of leaving campus during lunch. Students who have earned off-campus lunch will need to show their MINGA Digital ID to exit the building. Additionally, to ensure all students develop employable skills, we will implement a new personal electronic device policy at Pasco High. More information will be shared with students and families at the beginning of the school year.
COMMUNICATION WITH FAMILIES
Please find valuable information in this packet for Back-to-School Days on August 20-22 for all grade levels, with our Open House/Block Party on August 22nd. Freshman Orientation will start at 7:44 am on August 27th. This year, we have suggested school supplies for all grades to support organizational skills with AVID strategies in the classroom. Additional information in this packet includes Bell Schedules, How to Access Parent Portal for the Annual Update, Student Handbook information, Parking Pass information, dates for our ATP/HPAC Parent Nights, and our Open House/Block Party.
Throughout the year, Pasco High will communicate valuable information and updates with families via the weekly Bulldog Bulletin (email, text message, PSD App), social media (Facebook/Instagram/Twitter), phone calls, and mail. This communication will strengthen our partnership to support our mission statement of “All Belong, All Learn, All In” for all students.
Here's to a successful and inspiring school year!
